Tony’s Priorities for Lee County Schools

  • A man and a boy sitting at a desk looking at a notebook, with a laptop, an apple, and pens on the desk, smiling and engaged in an activity together in a bright room.

    Parental Rights and Involvement

Parents are the first and most important teachers in a child’s life. Schools work best when parents are respected as true partners, because children succeed when families are fully engaged. I will ensure transparency in the curriculum, maintain open lines of communication, and ensure that families always have a voice in the decisions that affect their children.

  • Multiple-choice test answer sheet with marked answers, a yellow pencil, and a red A+ grade

    Academic Excellence

Our schools must return to the fundamentals of education. Every child deserves a strong foundation in reading, math, history, and science, because without it, they are denied the chance to reach their full potential. I will work to raise standards, close achievement gaps, and make sure classrooms focus on proven teaching methods that prepare students for real success in life.

  • Yellow diamond-shaped safety sign that says 'SAFETY FIRST' against a blue sky with clouds.

    Safe Schools and Orderly Classrooms

No student can thrive in an environment of chaos or fear. I will support strong discipline, enforce accountability, and ensure our classrooms remain safe and focused so every child has the opportunity to learn without distraction. Protecting our children also means strengthening school security and addressing bullying before it destroys lives.

  • Person stacking coins on a table, with four stacks of coins arranged in increasing order from right to left.

    Fiscal Responsibility

As a businessman, I know how to balance budgets and cut waste. Taxpayers deserve to know that every dollar is spent wisely. I will fight for efficiency, demand accountability, and make sure tax dollars go where they belong: the classroom, not the bureaucracy.

  • A person working on a car engine with a red toolbox containing various socket tools, with the car's hood open.

    Career and Technical Education

Not every student is called to the same path. Many young people are gifted in the trades and technical fields, and they deserve the opportunity to pursue their God-given talents. I will expand partnerships with local businesses, strengthen vocational programs, and prepare students for meaningful careers where they can thrive as productive and successful members of our community.

  • Students with raised hands in a classroom during a lesson.

    Support for Teachers

Great teachers shape the future. They deserve respect, fair pay, and professional development that equips them to excel. Every student deserves a highly effective teacher in the classroom, and I will promote a culture of accountability that makes this possible. Parents’ voices must never be ignored, and supporting teachers and supporting families must always go hand in hand.

  • Front of a yellow school bus with a sign reading 'SCHOOL BUS' on it, under a partly cloudy sky.

    School Choice and Opportunity

Families should never be forced into a one-size-fits-all system. Every child learns differently, and parents must have the freedom to choose the environment where their child can succeed. I will support school choice, charter schools, and innovative programs that give families real options. Competition makes schools stronger, and every child deserves the chance to excel.

Keep up with our campaign!
